· Airflow velocity and temperature readings from 0°C to 70°C
· Airflow temperature readings via UTS1000T, USB Thermocouple, -50°C to 250°C
· Access for Backplane connection to Units Under Test
· Two (2) adaptor kits that will allow testing on AMC, VME, and PCI boards

802.11ac The Next Evolution

802.11ac is the next evolution of 802.11n. A 6x increase in data rate through wider bandwidth, advanced digital modulation and a higher number of spatial streams. The theoretical maximum data rate for 802.11n is 600Mb/s using 4MHz bandwidth w/ 4 spatial streams. The 802.11ac physical layer is an extension of the existing 802.11n standard and maintains backward compatibility. The theoretical 802.11ac maximum data rate is 6.93Gb/s using 160MHz bandwidth, 8 spatial streams, MCS9 w/ 256QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and short guard interval. 802.11ac is scheduled to be finalized by 2013, and should be the common WLAN standard by 2015.
