Reduce IT Chaos in 2009

All IT managers face IT chaos at one time or another. This chaos is usually the result of software, hardware and networking equipment acquired over time, and a patched together infrastructure. Through different eras of acquisitions and different vendors, much of what goes into a data center doesn’t work harmoniously. Data center change happens so frequently on many fronts, the ability to deal with those changes is important to keep the entire IT system operating with no disruptions. For 2009, IT managers need to be more focused on flexibility and agility. It will be all about integrating and simplifying complicated technology, to help the enterprise to run more efficient. At the same time IT managers still need to concentrate on cost-savings, like centralization, virtualization and maximizing the productive value and functionality of legacy systems.
